Call of Duty: WWII is a forthcoming first-person shooter video game that is going to be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows. The game is developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. The release of the game is set on November 3rd, 2017. Call of Duty: World War II is the 14th game in the Call of Duty franchise.
Call of Duty is returning to its historical roots with Call of Duty: World War II. From the beaches of Normandy, to the Hürtgen Forest, the player will be able to experience a dramatic story that highlights some of the most dramatic and iconic moments of World War II as a young soldier who is facing the unforgiving reality of war alongside his brothers in arms.
The main focus of the game are the actions of a squad from 1944 to 1945, but in order to help set the stage for the narrative and establish the characters, the game will also touch on some events from 1940 to 1944.
Players will be playing as Ronald “Red” Daniels, a young United States Army private. They will experience how he and his squad, United States 1st Infantry Division, trek through the European theater of war. In order to achieve victory, the player must fight alongside a global and diverse cast of characters from the Allied forces, most notably soldiers from United Kingdom and the French Resistance.
Apart from the familiar multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch and Domination, Call of Duty: WWII will come with a new multiplayer mode called “War”. In this game mode, the player joins either the Axis or Allies in a scripted scenario. For example, there is a mission where Allies forcers are escorting a tank through an Axis-controlled area with the Axis team defending. The objectives vary from protecting the tank to building a bridge. This game mode lives up to the idea that WWII is a game for young grunts struggling to survive.
More great news regarding the online community is that there is a new feature that will help the player interact with other players in Call of Duty: WWII. This feature is called Headquarters. In Headquarters the player can test weapons, his aiming skills, challenge players to 1v1 duels in a pit, and more. The Headquarters will be able to host up to 48 players at a time, and it will provide a great social space where players can hang out while waiting for a match to start.
With a promising single-player campaign, and the intensity and variety of its multiplayer, Call of Duty: WWII is set to go down as one of the series’ best entries yet. With Team Deathmatch being a total blast, and the new War game mode, the fans have every reason to be excited for the game.
